Who On Earth - The Torchbearers

of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal

Who On Earth is the New Jersey quintet delivering hard-hitting hooks, airtight instrumentation, and a powerful combination of pummeling grooves and piercing riffs. With a genuine grit and gusto, the band—vocalist Coosh, bassist Pete Rizzi, drummer Howie Fallon, and guitarists Johnny James Barone and Jimmy Kocha—has picked up the torch for hard rock and heavy metal, forging a sound that pays homage to rock’s past while ushering in its future.

The band was born from a simple yet essential question: “Who On Earth is going to bring back good rock and metal?” Longtime friends Coosh and Pete, who had spent years performing covers in the New York tri-state area, chose to focus entirely on composing original music in 2020. They quickly amassed ten songs, drawing on a collective influence spanning the new wave of British heavy metal, classic rock, grunge, and the great bands of the 90's and early 2000's. They returned to their roots, resurrecting melodies, hooks, and guitar solos, but upgraded everything with a modern, powerful production.

From Dive Bars to Studio Success

The group made their bones through countless gigs across the New York tri-state area, developing a formidable live reputation. In 2021, they hit the studio with renowned producer/engineer/mixer Mike Orlando (Category 7, Adrenaline Mob) at his Sonic Stomp Studio in New York, NY. The result was their full-length debut album, Blame’ (October 2022), which established their commitment to powerful storytelling, nodding with horns up to influences like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Alice in Chains, and Tool.

The lineup was cemented with the arrival of drummer Howie Fallon in March 2024, whose playing style elevated the band’s dynamic. This lineup went on to release the acclaimed EP, Smoke & Mirrors (March 2025). The EP features five originals that tackle themes of corporate deception and media bias and includes their hit cover of Toto's ‘Hold the Line’. Their heavy, guitar-driven remake of the song quickly became the band's most-streamed track to date.

The Mission: Filling the Void

Who On Earth’s mission is clear: to fill the void for genuine rock 'n' roll and to inspire a new generation of musicians. The band is currently planning the release of another full-length album for early 2026, which will once again be produced by Mike Orlando. With new management and plans for extensive touring, Who On Earth is set to prove that hard rock is still valuable, relevant, and can't be allowed to die.

Behind "Any Other Way"

'Any Other Way' is the band's rearranged, re-recorded, remixed, and mastered version of 'Black Swan' from their debut album 'Blame.'  This is a song about acceptance of the events in our lives and the choices we have made that have led us to where we are today. Regret has no place here because the past is the past. Would we have done things differently? Of course. But maybe it all had to happen and unfold the way it did. Can we embrace where we are, learn from the lessons of the past, and say, "You know what, I wouldn't have it any other way!"

Any Other Way (Official NEW MUSIC Video) - Who On Earth

Song Lyrics: “Any Other Way”

Verse 1

I know I stand alone

With the seeds that I have sown

Don’t know what I’m looking for

I searched within my soul

I know I’ve lost control

The finger of God behind me now

Chorus

Whoa oh, guess I didn’t see this coming

Whoa oh, hope no one died today

Whoa oh, never would have seen this coming

I wouldn’t have it any other way

Verse 2

Now what’s a man to do

When he knows his life is through

Got no one else but him to blame

I saw you part that sea

Saved everyone but me

Ignored you when you called my name

Chorus

Whoa oh, guess I didn’t see this coming

Whoa oh, hope no one died today

Whoa oh, never would have seen this coming

I wouldn’t have it any other way

Verse 3

Takin’ all the misery

Witch is coming after me

Gonna shoot me with her bloodied gun

Had it comin’ all this time

The scene of my own crime

My hands are up the guilty one

Chorus

Whoa oh, guess I didn’t see this coming

Whoa oh, hope no one died today

Whoa oh, never would have seen this coming
